RH.Style — Part 1: Hip Hop


RH.Style is seeking early-career Hip Hop dancers in Chicago for the first season of a training and performance-based artist development program.


Part 1 focuses specifically on Hip Hop culture and practice through rigorous training, freestyle development, choreography, performance, and media-based creative work.


The program is designed to immerse dancers in multiple aspects of a professional artistic pathway while fostering community, honoring the roots of Hip Hop culture, and supporting individual artistic growth.

WHO SHOULD AUDITION

We are looking for dancers who:

  • Have experience or interest in Hip Hop freestyle and/or choreography

  • Are interested in both performance and freestyle spaces

  • Want to deepen their artistic voice and foundation

  • Value collaboration, discipline, and community

  • Are seeking focused artistic and professional development


This program is intended for early-career dancers ready to engage in a consistent and collaborative process.

AUDITION DETAILS

The audition may include:

  • Hip Hop foundation work

  • Choreography

  • Freestyle/cypher exercises

  • Group exercises

  • Brief conversation/interview


Please wear comfortable clothing you can move in and bring water.

PROGRAM COMMITMENT

Weekly Schedule

Wednesdays

  • Rehearsal: 5:30 PM–7:00 PM

  • Intermediate Hip Hop Class: 7:00 PM–8:30 PM

Sundays

  • Rehearsal: 10:30 AM–1:30 PM


Consistent attendance and active participation are expected throughout the process.
