Rhythm Kidz was established in 2016 by three international dancers Lam Sedechu (Vietnam), Tatiana (Ukraine), and Jonny (Germany). Seeing the need for Hip Hop freestyle community development in Chicago, they created Rhythmhood. The crew has been fundamental in developing the Chicago dance community through teaching, competing regionally/nationally, and organizing events.

Rhythmhood's mission is to nurture and grow Chicago's street-style dance community, uplift and empower dancers, and transform Chicago into an international hub of street-dance.
